[2087] An external phenomenon (bahiddhā dhamma) is a condition for an external phenomenon by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: Another person, depending on external faith (saddhā) … aspiration (patthanā), bodily pleasure … lodging (senāsana), gives a gift (dāna) … causes a schism in the Saṅgha. External faith … lodging is a condition for external faith, for the attainment of fruition (phala-samāpatti), by decisive-support condition.
