[2088] An external phenomenon (bahiddhā dhamma) is a condition for an internal phenomenon (ajjhatta dhamma) by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: in dependence on external faith (saddhā) … lodging (senāsana), one gives a gift … causes schism in the Saṅgha. External faith … lodging is a condition for internal faith, for fruition attainment (phalasamāpatti), by decisive-support condition.
