[2161] A phenomenon (dhamma) with an external object (bahiddhārammaṇa) is a condition for a phenomenon with an external object by repetition condition (āsevana-paccaya): Conformity (anuloma) with an external object is a condition for change-of-lineage (gotrabhū); conformity for cleansing (vodāna); change-of-lineage for the path (magga); cleansing for the path — by repetition condition.
