Dependent on one invisible-and-impinging primary element (mahābhūta), two primary elements arise; dependent on two primary elements, one primary element arises; dependent on the invisible-and-impinging primary elements, invisible-and-impinging mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) and kamma-born form (kaṭattā-rūpa) that is derived form (upādā-rūpa) arise; dependent on the tangible base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana), the eye base (cakkhāyatana) and the taste base (rasāyatana) arise; the external … the nutriment-originated (āhārasamuṭṭhāna) … the temperature-originated (utusamuṭṭhāna) … For the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā): dependent on one invisible-and-impinging primary element, two primary elements arise; dependent on two primary elements, one primary element arises.
