[2193] Dependent on an invisible-impinging (anidassana-sappaṭigha) phenomenon (dhamma) and an invisible-non-impinging (anidassana-appaṭigha) phenomenon, a visible-impinging (sanidassana-sappaṭigha) phenomenon arises, not by root condition (na hetupaccayā):
Dependent on the rootless (ahetuka) invisible-non-impinging aggregates (khandhā) and the primary elements (mahābhūta), visible-impinging mind-originated matter (cittasamuṭṭhāna rūpa) arises. At the moment of rootless rebirth-linking (ahetuka-paṭisandhikkhaṇa), dependent on the invisible-non-impinging aggregates and the primary elements, visible-impinging kamma-born matter (kaṭattārūpa) arises. Dependent on the invisible-impinging primary elements and the water element (āpodhātu), visible-impinging mind-originated matter and kamma-born matter, being derived matter (upādārūpa), arise. Dependent on the tangible base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) and the water element, the form base (rūpāyatana) arises. External (bāhira) … nutriment-originated (āhārasamuṭṭhāna) … temperature-originated (utusamuṭṭhāna) … For non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), dependent on the invisible-impinging primary elements and the water element, visible-impinging kamma-born matter, being derived matter, arises.
By this method the seven questions should be elaborated in detail by one who is unconfused.
