[2244] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is invisible and impinging (anidassana-sappaṭigha) is a condition, by presence condition (atthi-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is invisible and non-impinging (anidassana-appaṭigha): conascent (sahajāta) and prenascent (purejāta).
Conascent: the primary elements (mahābhūta) that are invisible and impinging are a condition, by presence condition, for the mind-originated materialities (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) and the kamma-born materialities (kaṭattā-rūpa) — derivative materialities (upādā-rūpa) — that are invisible and non-impinging. This should be elaborated as far as the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta).
Prenascent: the eye … the body … sounds … tangible objects (phoṭṭhabba) as impermanent …; grief (domanassa) arises. The eye base (cakkhāyatana) is a condition, by presence condition, for eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa), and the tangible-object base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) for body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa).
The remaining four questions (pañhā) should be elaborated: they are similar to conascence in the Dependent chapter (paṭiccavāra), without any difference.
