[31] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) accompanied by thought-conception (vitakka) and discursive thought (vicāra), there arise phenomena (dhammā) accompanied by thought-conception and discursive thought, phenomena without thought-conception and with discursive thought only, and phenomena without thought-conception and without discursive thought, by dissociation condition (vippayutta-paccaya). Dependent on one aggregate (khandha) accompanied by thought-conception and discursive thought, three aggregates, thought-conception, and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) arise; dependent on two aggregates, two aggregates, thought-conception, and mind-originated form arise. The aggregates and thought-conception arise dependent on the base (vatthu) by dissociation condition; mind-originated form arises dependent on the aggregates by dissociation condition.
