Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (2) · Vol. 41 · Section 529

[529] A phenomenon (dhamma) accompanied by rapture (pīti) is a condition for a phenomenon accompanied by equanimity (upekkhā) by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya) — object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya). Natural decisive-support: In dependence on faith (saddhā) accompanied by rapture, with a mind (citta) accompanied by equanimity one gives a gift (dāna) … produces superknowledge (abhiññā), produces an attainment (samāpatti) … grasps a view (diṭṭhi). In dependence on virtue (sīla) accompanied by rapture … on aspiration (patthanā), with a mind accompanied by equanimity one gives a gift … plunders a market town. Faith accompanied by rapture … aspiration is a condition for faith accompanied by equanimity, for aspiration, by decisive-support condition.
