[712] A phenomenon to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya pahātabbo dhammo) is a condition for a phenomenon to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena pahātabbo dhammo) by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: In dependence on lust (rāga) to be abandoned by development, one kills a living being … causes a schism in the Saṅgha. In dependence on hatred (dosa) to be abandoned by development … delusion (moha) … conceit (māna) … longing (patthanā), one kills a living being … causes a schism in the Saṅgha. Lust to be abandoned by development … hatred, delusion, conceit … longing is a condition for lust, hatred, delusion, wrong view (diṭṭhi), and longing to be abandoned by seeing, by decisive-support condition. Desire and lust (chandarāga) for one's own goods is a condition for desire and lust for another's goods by decisive-support condition; desire and lust for one's own possessions is a condition for desire and lust for another's possessions by decisive-support condition.
