[828] In dependence on a phenomenon (dhamma) whose roots are to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (nevadassanena-nabhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka), there arises a phenomenon whose roots are to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development, by connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya): in dependence on one aggregate (khandha) whose roots are to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development, [there arise] three aggregates and mind-originated matter (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa); in dependence on delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā) [or] accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), mind-originated matter; at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇe), in dependence on the aggregates, the base (vatthu); in dependence on the base, the aggregates; in dependence on one great element (mahābhūta), three great elements; for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) [likewise]; in dependence on the eye base (cakkhāyatana), eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa); in dependence on the body base (kāyāyatana), …; in dependence on the base, the aggregates whose roots are to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development.
