[889] A phenomenon (dhamma) with a root to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) is a condition, by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), for a phenomenon with a root to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena-pahātabbahetuka) and for a phenomenon with a root to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (nevadassanena-nabhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka). Taking as object the aggregates (khandhā) with a root to be abandoned by development, there arise aggregates accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), and delusion (moha).
