[986] A phenomenon (dhamma) with a root to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (nevadassanena-nabhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) is a condition, by presence condition (atthi-paccaya), for a phenomenon with a root to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) and for a phenomenon with a root to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development: conascent (sahajāta), prenascent (purejāta).
Conascent: delusion (moha) accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca) is a condition, by presence condition, for the associated aggregates (sampayuttaka-khandhā) and for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa).
Prenascent: with reference to the eye (cakkhu), the aggregates accompanied by restlessness, and delusion, arise; with reference to the base (vatthu), the base is a condition, by presence condition, for the aggregates accompanied by restlessness and for delusion.
