[996] A phenomenon (dhamma) with roots to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya pahātabbahetuka) is a condition, by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), for a phenomenon with roots to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena pahātabbahetuka); it is a condition by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya).
