[329] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is a taint (āsava), a phenomenon that is a taint arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): dependent on the taint of sensuality (kāmāsava), the taint of views (diṭṭhāsava) and the taint of ignorance (avijjāsava) [arise]; dependent on the taint of views, the taint of sensuality and the taint of ignorance; dependent on the taint of ignorance, the taint of sensuality and the taint of views; dependent on the taint of existence (bhavāsava), the taint of ignorance; dependent on the taint of views, the taint of ignorance. The wheel (cakka) should be made for each one. Dependent on a phenomenon that is a taint, a phenomenon that is not a taint arises by root condition: dependent on a taint, the aggregates (khandhā) associated with taints and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise]. Dependent on a phenomenon that is a taint, phenomena that are taints and phenomena that are not taints arise by root condition: dependent on the taint of sensuality, the taint of views, the taint of ignorance, the associated aggregates, and mind-originated form [arise].
