[358] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a taint (āsava) is a condition for a phenomenon that is a taint by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya); it is a condition by way of connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya); it is a condition by way of decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya). A phenomenon that is a taint is a condition for a phenomenon that is not a taint by way of object condition; it is a condition by way of connascence condition; it is a condition by way of decisive-support condition; it is a condition by way of postnascence condition (pacchājāta-paccaya). A phenomenon that is a taint is a condition for a phenomenon that is a taint and a phenomenon that is not a taint by way of object condition; it is a condition by way of connascence condition; it is a condition by way of decisive-support condition. A phenomenon that is not a taint is a condition for a phenomenon that is not a taint by way of object condition; it is a condition by way of connascence condition; it is a condition by way of decisive-support condition; it is a condition by way of prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya); it is a condition by way of postnascence condition; it is a condition by way of kamma condition (kamma-paccaya); it is a condition by way of nutriment condition (āhāra-paccaya); it is a condition by way of faculty condition (indriya-paccaya). A phenomenon that is not a taint is a condition for a phenomenon that is a taint by way of object condition; it is a condition by way of connascence condition; it is a condition by way of decisive-support condition; it is a condition by way of prenascence condition. A phenomenon that is not a taint is a condition for a phenomenon that is a taint and a phenomenon that is not a taint by way of object condition; it is a condition by way of connascence condition; it is a condition by way of decisive-support condition; it is a condition by way of prenascence condition. A phenomenon that is a taint and a phenomenon that is not a taint are a condition for a phenomenon that is a taint by way of object condition; they are a condition by way of connascence condition; they are a condition by way of decisive-support condition; they are a condition by way of prenascence condition.
