[508] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is not a tie (gantha), there arises a phenomenon that is not a tie — not by root condition (na-hetupaccayā): Dependent on one rootless (ahetuka) aggregate (khandha) that is not a tie, three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise]; dependent on two aggregates … rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi) as far as the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā); dependent on the eye base (cakkhāyatana), eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa) [arises]; dependent on the body base (kāyāyatana), body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa) [arises]; dependent on the base (vatthu), rootless aggregates that are not ties [arise]; dependent on the aggregates accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā) or accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), and on the base, delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt or accompanied by restlessness [arises].
