[518] A not-tie phenomenon (nogantho dhammo) is a condition for a not-tie phenomenon by kamma condition (kamma-paccaya): conascent (sahajāta) and asynchronous (nānākhaṇika). Conascent: not-tie volition (cetanā) is a condition for the associated aggregates (khandhā) and for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by kamma condition. Asynchronous: not-tie volition is a condition for the resultant (vipāka) aggregates and for kamma-born forms (kaṭattā-rūpa) by kamma condition. A not-tie phenomenon is a condition for a tie phenomenon (gantha) by kamma condition: not-tie volition is a condition for the associated aggregates by kamma condition. A not-tie phenomenon is a condition for a tie phenomenon and a not-tie phenomenon by kamma condition: not-tie volition is a condition for the associated aggregates and the ties, and for mind-originated forms, by kamma condition. A not-tie phenomenon is a condition for a not-tie phenomenon by kamma-result condition (vipāka-paccaya): one. … is a condition by nutriment condition (āhāra-paccaya): three. … is a condition by faculty condition (indriya-paccaya): three. … is a condition by absorption condition (jhāna-paccaya): three. … is a condition by path condition (magga-paccaya): nine. … is a condition by association condition (sampayutta-paccaya): nine.
