[542] Conjoined (saṃsaṭṭha) with a phenomenon (dhamma) dissociated from ties (gantha-vippayutta), a phenomenon dissociated from ties arises not by way of root condition (na-hetupaccayā): [conjoined with] a rootless (ahetuka) [phenomenon] dissociated from ties … at the moment of rootless rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), [arises] conjoined with the aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by doubt, accompanied by restlessness.
