[102] A phenomenon that is a mental factor (cetasika) is a condition for a phenomenon that is a mental factor by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya):
Each preceding set of aggregates (khandhā) that are mental factors is a condition for each subsequent set of aggregates that are mental factors by immediacy condition.
The root (of the question) should be asked:
Each preceding set of aggregates that are mental factors is a condition for each subsequent mind (citta) by immediacy condition.

Each preceding set of aggregates that are mental factors is a condition for each subsequent set of aggregates that are mental factors, and for the mind, by immediacy condition.
A phenomenon that is not a mental factor (acetasika) is a condition for a phenomenon that is not a mental factor by immediacy condition:
Each preceding mind is a condition for each subsequent mind by immediacy condition; conformity (anuloma) is a condition for change-of-lineage (gotrabhū), for the attainment of fruition (phalasamāpatti), by immediacy condition.
A phenomenon that is not a mental factor is a condition for a phenomenon that is a mental factor by immediacy condition:
Three (ways) should be done in this manner; it should be done in full, the same as the first round (paṭhamagamana), with no difference.
A phenomenon that is a mental factor and a phenomenon that is not a mental factor are a condition for a phenomenon that is a mental factor by immediacy condition: three (ways). There is neither adverting (āvajjanā) nor emergence (vuṭṭhāna).
It is a condition by contiguity condition (samanantara-paccaya): nine (ways). It is a condition by connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya): nine (ways), the same as the Paṭiccavāra (the "Dependent" chapter).
It is a condition by mutuality condition (aññamañña-paccaya): nine (ways), the same as the Paṭiccavāra. It is a condition by dependence condition (nissaya-paccaya): nine (ways), the same as the Paccayavāra (the "Conditioned" chapter).
