[109] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a mental factor (cetasika) is a condition for a phenomenon that is not a mental factor (acetasika) by dissociation condition (vippayutta-paccaya): conascent (sahajāta), postnascent (pacchājāta). (Abbreviated.)

Conascent: mind (citta) is a condition for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by dissociation condition. At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), mind is a condition for kamma-born forms (kaṭattārūpa) by dissociation condition. Mind is a condition for the base (vatthu) by dissociation condition. The base is a condition for mind by dissociation condition.
Prenascent: the eye base (cakkhāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa) by dissociation condition; the body base (kāyāyatana) for body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa); the base is a condition for mind by dissociation condition.
Postnascent: mind is a condition for this prenascent body by dissociation condition.
