[351] Dependent on a clung-to phenomenon (upādinna dhamma), a clung-to phenomenon arises, not by faculty condition (na indriya-paccayā): for the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), dependent on the primary elements (mahābhūta), the material life-faculty (rūpa-jīvitindriya) [arises].
