[11] … Not by faculty condition (na indriya-paccayā): external (bāhira) … nutriment-originated (āhāra-samuṭṭhāna) … temperature-originated (utu-samuṭṭhāna): one primary element (mahābhūta) … derivative materiality (upādā-rūpa) dependent on the primary elements; for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), the material life-faculty (rūpa-jīvitindriya) dependent on the primary elements.
