[306] In dependence on a non-derivative phenomenon (no-upādā dhamma), a non-derivative phenomenon arises, not by dissociation condition (na-vippayutta-paccaya): in the immaterial [plane] (arūpa), in dependence on one non-derivative aggregate (khandha), three aggregates [arise]; [in dependence on] two aggregates … the external … the nutriment-originated … the temperature-originated … for the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), [in dependence on] one primary element (mahābhūta) … .
In dependence on a non-derivative phenomenon, a derivative phenomenon (upādā dhamma) arises, not by dissociation condition: the external … the nutriment-originated … the temperature-originated … for the non-percipient beings, in dependence on the primary elements, derivative kamma-born materiality (kaṭattā-rūpa), [that is,] derivative materiality (upādā-rūpa), [arises].
