Upādānaupādānasaṁpayuttaduka

[464] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is both clinging (upādāna) and associated with clinging, a phenomenon that is both clinging and associated with clinging arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): dependent on clinging to views (diṭṭhupādāna), clinging to sensuality (kāmupādāna) [arises]. The cycle (cakka) should be worked out. Dependent on a phenomenon that is both clinging and associated with clinging, a phenomenon that is associated with clinging but is not clinging arises by root condition: dependent on the clingings, the associated aggregates (khandhā) [arise]. Dependent on a phenomenon that is both clinging and associated with clinging, a phenomenon that is both clinging and associated with clinging and a phenomenon that is associated with clinging but is not clinging arise by root condition: dependent on clinging to views, clinging to sensuality together with the associated aggregates [arise].
