[553] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is both a defilement (kilesa) and defiled (saṅkiliṭṭha) is a condition for a phenomenon that is both a defilement and defiled by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya): All nine should be done; there is neither adverting (āvajjana) nor emergence (vuṭṭhāna). … is a condition by contiguity condition (samanantara-paccaya); is a condition by connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya); is a condition by mutuality condition (aññamañña-paccaya); is a condition by dependence condition (nissaya-paccaya); is a condition by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): nine questions; there is no analysis (vibhaṅga). … is a condition by repetition condition (āsevana-paccaya): nine.
