[552] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is both a defilement (kilesa) and defiled (saṅkiliṭṭha) is a condition for a phenomenon that is both a defilement and defiled by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya): object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati) — three.
A phenomenon that is defiled but not a defilement is a condition for a phenomenon that is defiled but not a defilement by predominance condition: object-predominance, conascence-predominance (sahajātādhipati). Object-predominance: having given weight to the aggregates (khandhā) that are defiled but not defilements … three.
Both predominances should be done in all three. The other two should also be done as three.
