[801] A phenomenon (dhamma) of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara) is a condition for a phenomenon of the formless sphere by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya) … Natural decisive-support: the sphere of the infinity of space (ākāsānañcāyatana) is a condition for the sphere of the infinity of consciousness (viññāṇañcāyatana) by decisive-support condition; the sphere of the infinity of consciousness [is a condition] for the sphere of nothingness (ākiñcaññāyatana); the sphere of nothingness is a condition for the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception (nevasaññānāsaññāyatana) by decisive-support condition.
