[819] Conditioned by an emancipating phenomenon (niyyānika dhamma), an emancipating phenomenon arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): three [cases], similar to [those of] the dependence [chapter] (paṭicca). Conditioned by a non-emancipating phenomenon (aniyyānika dhamma), a non-emancipating phenomenon arises by root condition: conditioned by one non-emancipating aggregate (khandha), three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise] … up to the internal great primary elements (mahābhūta); conditioned by the base (vatthu), the non-emancipating aggregates [arise]. Conditioned by a non-emancipating phenomenon, an emancipating phenomenon arises by root condition: conditioned by the base, the emancipating aggregates [arise]. Conditioned by a non-emancipating phenomenon, an emancipating phenomenon and a non-emancipating phenomenon arise by root condition: conditioned by the base, the emancipating aggregates [arise]; conditioned by the great primary elements, mind-originated form [arises]. Conditioned by an emancipating phenomenon and a non-emancipating phenomenon, an emancipating phenomenon arises by root condition: conditioned by one emancipating aggregate and the base, three aggregates [arise]; [conditioned by] two aggregates … .
