[1603] Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon (dhamma) subject to defilement (saṅkilesika), a wholesome phenomenon subject to defilement arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya). Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon not subject to defilement (asaṅkilesika), a wholesome phenomenon not subject to defilement arises by root condition.
