[784] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is not a root (na-hetu) and has a future object (anāgatārammaṇa), a phenomenon that is not a root and has a future object arises, not by root condition (na-hetupaccayā). Dependent on a phenomenon that is not a root and has a future object, a phenomenon that is a root (hetu) and has a future object arises, not by root condition.
