[1068] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) cognizable by some [consciousness] (kenaciviññeyya) that is a root (hetu), a phenomenon that is not cognizable by some [consciousness] (na-kenaciviññeyya) and is not a root (na-hetu) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Three. Dependent on a phenomenon not cognizable by some [consciousness] (kenacinaviññeyya) that is a root, a phenomenon that is not not-cognizable by some [consciousness] (na-kenacinaviññeyya) and is not a root arises by root condition. Three. Dependent on a phenomenon cognizable by some [consciousness] that is a root and a phenomenon not cognizable by some [consciousness] that is a root, a phenomenon that is not cognizable by some [consciousness] and is not a root arises by root condition.
