[1273] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is not both-a-taint-and-dissociated-from-taints (na-āsavañceva-na-āsavavippayuttañca) and is not a root (na-hetu), a phenomenon that is both a taint and associated with taints (āsavañceva-āsavasampayuttañca) and is a root (hetu) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā).
