[1373] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is not a not-root (na-nahetu) and is not both-rootless-and-a-not-root (na-ahetukañceva-na-nahetuñca), a not-root (na-hetu) phenomenon that is accompanied by roots but not a root (sahetuko-ceva-na-ca-hetu) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā).
