[1409] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is not a not-root (na-nahetu) and is not accompanied by conflict (na-saraṇa), a not-root (na-hetu) phenomenon without conflict (araṇa) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Dependent on a phenomenon that is not a not-root and is not without conflict (na-araṇa), a not-root phenomenon accompanied by conflict (saraṇa) arises by root condition.
