[44] A not-root (na-hetu) phenomenon (dhamma) is a condition for a not-root phenomenon by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya). A not-root phenomenon is a condition for a phenomenon that is not a not-root (na-nahetu) by object condition. A not-root phenomenon is a condition for a not-root phenomenon and a phenomenon that is not a not-root by object condition.
A phenomenon that is not a not-root is a condition for a phenomenon that is not a not-root by object condition.
