[176] Bhikkhus, if an act is performed by an incomplete assembly (vaggakamma) in accordance with the Dhamma, it is no act and should not be carried out. Bhikkhus, if an act is performed by a united assembly (samaggakamma) not in accordance with the Dhamma, it is no act and should not be carried out. Bhikkhus, if an act is performed by an incomplete assembly in accordance with the Dhamma, it is no act and should not be carried out. Bhikkhus, if an act is performed by an incomplete assembly in accordance with a semblance of the Dhamma (dhammapaṭirūpaka), it is no act and should not be carried out. Bhikkhus, if an act is performed by a united assembly in accordance with a semblance of the Dhamma, it is no act and should not be carried out.
If one bhikkhu suspends one, it is no act and should not be carried out. If one bhikkhu suspends two, it is no act and should not be carried out. If one bhikkhu suspends several, it is no act and should not be carried out. If one bhikkhu suspends a Saṅgha, it is no act and should not be carried out.
If two bhikkhus suspend one, it is no act and should not be carried out. If two bhikkhus suspend two, it is no act and should not be carried out. If two bhikkhus suspend several, it is no act and should not be carried out. If two bhikkhus suspend a Saṅgha, it is no act and should not be carried out.
If several bhikkhus suspend one, it is no act and should not be carried out. If several bhikkhus suspend two, it is no act and should not be carried out. If several bhikkhus suspend several, it is no act and should not be carried out. If several bhikkhus suspend a Saṅgha, it is no act and should not be carried out.
If one Saṅgha suspends another Saṅgha, it too is no act and should not be carried out.
