[199] Bhikkhus, an act of suspension (ukkhepanīyakamma) for not seeing an offense (āpatti) that possesses three further factors … is an act in accordance with the Dhamma, an act in accordance with the Vinaya, and well settled, namely: it is done after the offense has been charged; it is done in accordance with the Dhamma; it is done by a united (samagga) Saṅgha.
Bhikkhus, an act of suspension for not seeing an offense possessing these three factors is an act in accordance with the Dhamma, an act in accordance with the Vinaya, and well settled.
