[239] Bhikkhus, an act of suspension (ukkhepanīyakamma) for not making amends for an offense (āpatti) that possesses three factors is an act in accordance with the Dhamma, an act in accordance with the Vinaya, and one that is well settled: it is done face to face; it is done with interrogation; it is done with the acknowledgment (of the accused). Bhikkhus, an act of suspension for not making amends for an offense possessing these three factors is an act in accordance with the Dhamma, an act in accordance with the Vinaya, and one that is well settled.
