[259] Bhikkhus, when a **bhikkhu** possesses five factors, the act of suspension (ukkhepanīyakamma) for not making amends for an offense (āpatti) should not be revoked: he gives full ordination (upasampadā); he gives dependence (nissaya); he has a novice (sāmaṇera) attend upon him; he accepts appointment as an instructor of bhikkhunīs; and, even though appointed, he instructs bhikkhunīs. Bhikkhus, when a bhikkhu possesses these five factors, the act of suspension for not making amends for an offense should not be revoked.
