[336] Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu deserving to be sent back to the beginning (mūlāya paṭikassana) should conduct himself properly. This is the proper conduct in that case:—
He should not give the full ordination (upasampadā);
he should not give dependence (nissaya);
he should not have a novice (sāmaṇera) attend upon him;
he should not accept an agreement as instructor of bhikkhunīs;
even if he has been agreed upon, he should not instruct bhikkhunīs;
he should not commit the offense (āpatti) on account of which he became deserving of being sent back to the beginning;
nor another of a similar kind;
nor one worse than that;
he should not criticize the formal act (kamma);
he should not criticize those who carried out the act;
he should not suspend the uposatha of a regular bhikkhu (pakatatta);
he should not suspend the invitation (pavāraṇā);
he should not issue a directive making another answerable (savacanīya);
he should not set up an accusation (anuvāda);
he should not have leave (okāsa) granted;
he should not accuse another;
he should not remind another (of an offense);
he should not join bhikkhus in dispute with bhikkhus.
