[370] Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu deserving rehabilitation (abbhāna) should conduct himself properly. Herein, this is the proper conduct: he should not confer the full ordination (upasampadā); he should not give dependence (nissaya); he should not have a novice (sāmaṇera) attend upon him; … As is the observance (vatta) for one deserving to be sent back to the beginning (mūlāya paṭikassanā), so it should be elaborated in identical fashion for the three: one deserving probation-penance (mānatta), one undergoing probation-penance, and one deserving rehabilitation; … he should not join bhikkhus with bhikkhus in contention.
