[309] Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu against whom the Saṅgha has carried out an act of suspension (ukkhepanīyakamma) for not relinquishing an evil view (pāpikā diṭṭhi) must conduct himself properly.
Herein, this is the proper conduct: he should not give the full ordination (upasampadā); he should not give dependence (nissaya); he should not have a novice (sāmaṇera) attend upon him; he should not accept an agreement (sammati) to exhort bhikkhunīs; even if agreed upon, he should not exhort bhikkhunīs; he should not commit the offence (āpatti) on account of which the act of suspension for not relinquishing an evil view was carried out by the Saṅgha, nor another of a similar kind, nor one worse than that; he should not criticize the act; he should not criticize those who carried out the act; he should not suspend the Uposatha of a regular bhikkhu, nor suspend the Pavāraṇā; he should not issue a directive to be answerable (savacanīya); he should not initiate an accusation (anuvāda); he should not have leave (okāsa) granted; he should not reprove another; he should not remind another (of an offence); and he should not join with bhikkhus in quarrelling against bhikkhus.
The eighteen duties in the act of suspension for not relinquishing an evil view are concluded.
