[163] Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu upon whom the act of reconciliation (paṭisāraṇīyakamma) has been carried out must conduct himself properly.
This is the proper conduct in that case: he should not give full ordination (upasampadā); he should not give dependence (nissaya); he should not have a novice (sāmaṇera) attend upon him; he should not accept an agreement to be an exhorter of bhikkhunīs; even if he has been agreed upon, he should not exhort bhikkhunīs; the offence for which the Saṅgha carried out the act of reconciliation — that offence he should not commit, nor another of the same kind, nor one worse than that; he should not criticize the act; he should not criticize those who carried out the act; he should not suspend the Uposatha of a regular bhikkhu; he should not suspend the Pavāraṇā; he should not issue an injunction to attend (savacanīya); he should not initiate a censure (anuvāda); he should not have leave (okāsa) made; he should not accuse; he should not remind [of an offence]; and he should not join bhikkhus in dispute with bhikkhus.
The eighteen observances in the act of reconciliation are finished.
