[119] Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu against whom the act of banishment (pabbājanīyakamma) has been carried out must conduct himself properly. This is the proper conduct in that case: he should not give the full ordination (upasampadā); he should not give dependence (nissaya); he should not have a novice (sāmaṇera) attend upon him; he should not accept an agreement to be an exhorter of bhikkhunīs; even if agreed upon, he should not exhort bhikkhunīs; he should not commit the offence (āpatti) on account of which the act of banishment was carried out by the Saṅgha, nor another of a similar kind, nor one worse than that; he should not criticize the act; he should not criticize those who carried out the act; he should not suspend the uposatha of a regular bhikkhu (pakatatta); he should not suspend the invitation (pavāraṇā); he should not issue a directive; he should not initiate a censure; he should not have leave granted; he should not accuse; he should not remind; and he should not join bhikkhus in dispute with bhikkhus.
