[206] Bhikkhus, a **bhikkhu** against whom an act of suspension (ukkhepanīyakamma) has been carried out for not seeing an offense must conduct himself properly.
This is the proper conduct in that case:
1. He should not give the full ordination (upasampadā).
2. He should not give dependence (nissaya).
3. He should not have a novice (sāmaṇera) attend upon him.
4. He should not accept an agreement (sammati) to be an exhorter of bhikkhunīs.
5. Even if he has been agreed upon, he should not exhort bhikkhunīs.
6. He should not commit the offense for which the Saṅgha carried out the act of suspension for not seeing an offense;
7. nor another offense of the same kind;
8. nor one worse than it.
9. He should not criticize the act;
10. he should not criticize those who carried out the act.
11. He should not consent to bowing (abhivādana) from a regular bhikkhu (pakatatta);
12. nor to rising up in respect from a regular bhikkhu;
13. nor to the gesture of reverence (añjalikamma) from a regular bhikkhu;
14. nor to acts of proper respect (sāmīcikamma) from a regular bhikkhu;
15. nor to the bringing of a seat by a regular bhikkhu;
16. nor to the bringing of bedding by a regular bhikkhu;
17. nor to water for the feet and a footstool from a regular bhikkhu;
18. nor to a foot-wiper from a regular bhikkhu;
19. nor to the receiving of his bowl and robe by a regular bhikkhu;
20. nor to the rubbing of his back when bathing by a regular bhikkhu.
21. He should not charge a regular bhikkhu with failure in virtue (sīlavipatti);
22. nor charge him with failure in conduct (ācāravipatti);
23. nor charge him with failure in view (diṭṭhivipatti);
24. nor charge him with failure in livelihood (ājīvavipatti).
25. He should not cause bhikkhus to be divided from bhikkhus.
26. He should not wear the emblem of a householder;
27. nor wear the emblem of the members of other sects (titthiya).
28. He should not associate with members of other sects;
29. he should associate with bhikkhus.
30. He should train in the training of a bhikkhu.
31. He should not stay in a dwelling (āvāsa) under the same roof with a regular bhikkhu;
32. nor stay in a non-dwelling (anāvāsa) under the same roof;
33. nor stay in a dwelling or a non-dwelling under the same roof.
34. On seeing a regular bhikkhu, he should rise from his seat.
35. He should not assail a regular bhikkhu, whether within or without.
36. He should not suspend the Uposatha of a regular bhikkhu;
37. nor suspend the Pavāraṇā;
38. nor make him subject to a directive (savacanīya);
39. nor set up a censure (anuvāda) against him;
40. nor have leave (okāsa) made;
41. nor accuse him;
42. nor remind him (of an offense);
43. nor join bhikkhus in conflict with bhikkhus.
The forty-three duties concerning the act of suspension for not seeing an offense are finished.
