[571] Bhikkhus, here again, a bhikkhu commits multiple saṅghādisesa offences — some measurable and some immeasurable, some of the same name and some of different names, some of the same class and some of different classes, some distinct and some mixed together. He requests from the Saṅgha a combined probation (samodhānaparivāsa) for those offences. The Saṅgha grants him a combined probation for those offences. While he is undergoing probation, he commits in the interim multiple saṅghādisesa offences, immeasurable, some concealed and some unconcealed. He requests from the Saṅgha, on account of the interim offences, a sending back to the beginning (mūlāya paṭikassanā). The Saṅgha sends him back to the beginning on account of the interim offences by a formal act that is in accordance with the rule, unshakeable, and fit to stand; it grants the combined probation in accordance with the rule; it grants penance (mānatta) not in accordance with the rule; it rehabilitates (abbheti) him not in accordance with the rule. That bhikkhu, bhikkhus, is not purified of those offences.
