Vinaykathā

[286] Then it occurred to the bhikkhus: "To what extent is one entitled to an equal seat (samānāsanika)?" They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, I allow bhikkhus within three rains (of seniority) of one another to sit together."
