[303] Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu, having taken on building work (navakamma), departs. It should be given to another, thinking, "Let it not be lost to the Saṅgha."
Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu, having taken on building work, disrobes, dies, admits to being a novice (sāmaṇera), admits to having renounced the training, admits to having committed an extreme offense (antimavatthu), admits to being insane, admits to being deranged in mind (citta), admits to being overwhelmed by pain, admits to being suspended for not seeing an offense, admits to being suspended for not making amends for an offense, admits to being suspended for not relinquishing an evil view, admits to being a paṇḍaka, admits to being one living in communion by theft, admits to being one who has gone over to another sect, admits to being an animal, admits to being a matricide, admits to being a patricide, admits to being a killer of an arahant, admits to being a violator of a bhikkhunī, admits to being a schismatic, admits to being one who has shed (a Tathāgata's) blood, admits to being a hermaphrodite. It should be given to another, thinking, "Let it not be lost to the Saṅgha."
