[573] "Where was the offense entailing expiation (pācittiya) laid down for two bhikkhunīs lying down together under a single sheet and covering?" — "It was laid down at Sāvatthī." "With reference to whom?" — "With reference to several bhikkhunīs." "Concerning what matter?" — "Concerning the matter that several bhikkhunīs, two together, lay down under a single sheet and covering; concerning that matter." There is one laying down (paññatti). Of the six origins of offenses (āpattisamuṭṭhāna), it arises through two origins (as in the rule on goat's wool).
