[616] "For a bhikkhunī who has completed twelve years but has not been agreed upon (sammata) by the Saṅgha, and who sponsors the ordination (vuṭṭhāpeti) of another — where was the offense entailing expiation (pācittiya) laid down?" "It was laid down at Sāvatthī." "Concerning whom?" "Concerning several bhikkhunīs." "On what matter?" "On the matter that several bhikkhunīs who had completed twelve years, but had not been agreed upon by the Saṅgha, sponsored ordinations." There is one laying-down (paññatti). Of the six origins of offenses, this offense originates through three origins.
